The Safiental is a touring pearl in a class of its own. The valley stretches from Versam 30 kilometres to the south and is therefore spared from daytime tourism. This leaves plenty of space for enjoyable, quiet ski tours in a quiet and intact natural landscape. Due to its location and altitude, the valley is snow-sure and always offers perfect conditions for unforgettable tours. Our Gasthof Gasslihof is simple and traditional, without the unnecessary frills of modern civilisation. Instead, there is more time for enjoyment, relaxation, peace and cosiness. It's great to have you with us in this wonderful valley!
Day 1: Meeting point at 8.15 a.m. at Reichenau-Tamins station. For a decelerated and relaxed journey without stress, we recommend spending the night from Wednesday to Thursday already at the Gasslihof. After checking the equipment, we set off on our first tour. From Under Camana, 1630 m, we enjoy a varied ascent to one of the numerous humps of the Camaner ridge, 2475 m. The wide ridge leaves us plenty of space. The wide ridge leaves us plenty of space for the rewarding descent!
850 m altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.
Day 2: Round tour from Turrahus, 1694 m, to the Tomülgrat, 2738 m. With the descent over the Strätscherhorn, 2557 m, and through the Wannatobel or Piggamad, an interesting tour with great views of the farthest Safiental.
1050 m altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 1/2 hours.
Day 3: Today we visit one of the great classics in the valley. Depending on the conditions, we climb from Bäch or Thalkirch in an exciting route to the Tällihorn, 2856m. The descent takes us over the wide eastern slopes back to the valley, with a stop at the famous Turrahus.
1200 m altitude difference, ascent time approx. 4 hours.
Day 4: Final tour to the local mountain of Safien Platz, the Plangghorn, 2581 m. We start the ascent in Hof, 1658 m, and shortly before the summit through the avalanche barriers visible from afar. The descent then takes us directly back to Safien Platz, 1270 metres of downhill pleasure to finish the tour! We end our last day on the terrace with a well-deserved final drink!
920 metres altitude difference, ascent time approx. 3 hours.
There are other interesting tour destinations and insider tips to choose from, which will not be revealed here! We adapt the actual programme to the weather and snow conditions, the current avalanche situation and the ability and wishes of the participants.
