Program
Ascent of the Piz Cambrena over the ice nose and crossing to the Piz d'Arlas, 3375 m.
Day 1: Meeting point at 6 pm at the reception of Berghaus Diavolezza, 2973 m. Dinner together in the stylish ambience and discussion of the tour.
Day 2: In the dark we leave the mountain house and follow the path around the Piz Trovat almost to the Fuorcla d'Arlas, where we enter the Pers glacier. Over this we run with only small height gain to the entry of the Piz Cambrena, which we reach over a steep snow and ice edge. The first part leads over much loose rock and some climbing passages to a short, steep Firngrat, where the second, steeper part of the ridge begins. About some beautiful climbing sites we reach the foot of the ice nose, which we rise depending on the conditions directly. From the almost level summit plateau it is only a few steps to the summit, from which we can enjoy a magnificent view! The first part of the descent takes us over the glacier to the beginning of the Cresta d'Arlas, which we first follow in the climb a few meters. Then we turn right, descend over steep, not very compact plates and gutters in a gap and then follow the whole ridge to the Piz d'Arlas, 3375 m. From there, trails and a steep gully lead back to Fuorcla d'Arlas and Diavolezza. On the terrace, we enjoy a cool drink and look forward to our successful ascent. Ascent time approx. 4 to 5 hours, total walking time approx. 7 to 8 hours.
